A fireball spell should be able to kill a few goblins or soldiers without much trouble, but no it won't even scratch a single enemy in this game. Stick to multi-attacking mele classes or you will be seriously underwhelmed by your elemental wizard. Really it is laughable. Monster HP scales with PC level, spell damage doesn't. Bonkers.
