Battle Master is an
Ability Tree in
Sword Coast Legends. Battle Masters take an almost academic approach to combat, employing a high level of veteran tricks and battlefield tactics to both rally their allies and manipulate the battlefield against their enemies. Battle Masters know exacly how best to intimidate their opponents, and when to pull on all of their reserve strength for a finishing blow.
Battle Master Abilities
Second Wind
- Effect: Draw upon your wall of stamina to heal and gain +18 maximum hit points. The increased hit point pool lasts for 12 seconds.

Action Surge
- Effect: You push yourself beyond your normal limits for a moment, gaining 25% action speed for 6 seconds.
- Type: Direct Effect
- Cooldown: 80 Seconds
- Requirements: Second Wind & Level 3
- Cost: 2 Point
- Ranks: II
Commander's Shout
- Effect: Shout orders to a nearby ally, granting combat bonuses. The target gains +1 to hit and damage for the next 60 seconds.
- Type: Direct Effect
- Range: 15 Yards
- Cooldown: 40 Seconds
- Requirements: None
- Cost: 1 Point
- Ranks: IV
Rally
- Effect: You shout words of encouragement to nearby allies, granting +5 to their maximum hit points. This increase lasts for 60 seconds.
- Type: Point Blank Area of Effect
- Range: 15 Yards
- Cooldown: 80 Seconds
- Requirements: Commander's Shout & Level 3
- Cost: 2 Points
- Ranks: III
Reign of Terror
- Effect: You let loose a shout of anger so violent that it overwhelms nearby foes. Affected enemies must make a DC 9 Wisdom saving throw or become confused for up to 30 seconds and suffer a -3 penalty to their AC. At the end of each round, affected targets may attempt to make a DC Wisdom saving throw. If they succeed, the effect ends early.
