Frost in Sword Coast Legends is an Ability tree only available to Wizards. Wizards channel the weave to create the power of ice. From simple rays to storms of frozen hail, these spells can both slow and weaken even the most stalwart of opponents.



Frost Abilities

  • Effect: A frigid beam of blue-white light streaks toward a creature within range. On a hit, target takes 2-8 Cold damage and suffers -20% to their movement speed for 8 seconds.
  • Type: Cantrip - Ranged
  • Range: 18 Yards
  • Cooldown: 2 Seconds
  • Requirements: None (Ability Known)

  • Effect: A hail of rock-hard ice pounds the ground in an area centered on a point within range. Each creature within 3 yards of the target must make a DC 9 Dexterity saving throw or take 6-24 Cold damage and 4-16 Bludgeoning damage, or half as much damage on a successful save. A creature that fails the save must make a secondary DC 7 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone. Hailstones turn the storm's area of effect into difficult terrain, causing enemies in the area to move more slowly. The ground remains icy, hindering movement for 6 seconds.

  • Effect: A blast of cold air erupts from your hands in an area 53 yards wide and 20 yards long. Each creature in the area must make a DC 9 Constitution saving throw or take 16-64 Cold damage and have to make a secondary DC 9 Constitution save or be frozen in place for 5 seconds. A creature that makes a successful save takes half damage.

  • Effect: A frigid globe of cold energy streaks from your fingertips to a point of your choice within range, where it explodes up to a radius of 4 yards. Each creature in the blast must make a DC 9 Constitution saving throw or take 15-60 Cold damage, or half as much on a successful save.
  • Type: Ranged Area of Effect
  • Range: 18 Yards
  • Cooldown: 240 Seconds
  • Requirements: Cone of Cold & Level 11
  • Cost: 3 Points
  • Ranks: III
